Windows of Curiosity invites viewers to see themselves—and each other—in every window. By revealing slices of life within a shared structure, it encourages connection, empathy, and conversation. In a world where so many feel isolated, even a small crack in the wall can plant a seed of curiosity. And curiosity, after all, is where communication begins. 

Tim Parati is a multidisciplinary artist whose work weaves together theatrical storytelling, public art, and large-scale scenic painting to spark wonder, evoke narrative, and inspire transformation. With more than three decades of experience, Tim draws inspiration from both the everyday and the extraordinary—bridging reality and dreamworlds through visual storytelling.

He has served as the Charge Scenic Artist at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte at ImaginOn for over 20 years and has also created scenic work for Opera Carolina, Theatre Charlotte and Charlotte Ballet. Over the course of his career, Tim has painted scenery for more than 200 productions—covering everything from stage backdrops and floors to every scenic element visible on stage. He has also designed over 60 theatrical productions.

In addition to his work behind the scenes, Tim has appeared as an actor in more than 40 film and television productions.

Tim is available for mural projects, specialty painting, master classes in scenic painting and providing consulting support to school theatre programs. Whether on stage, on a wall, or in a sketchbook, his work reflects a commitment to storytelling that leaves a lasting impression.
