!con: “Blooming Magic”

Blooming Magic celebrates the theme of curiosity through an explosion of interconnected imagery. Each side of the Icon is designed to spark wonder, inviting viewers to explore its many hidden elements. From interwoven tree roots and mushrooms to planets, sacred geometry, sea creatures, blooming flora, and flying books, this design embodies the endless directions that curiosity can take us. 

Maria Napier is a Colombian-American self-taught artist based in Charlotte, NC. She earned a BA in Psychology and Communication Studies from UNCC, which she uses to understand human behavior, expressing her observations through art. Her “Deconstructed Style” fuses different techniques into colorful illustrations and mixed-media sculptures. Maria’s thought-provoking pieces aim to inspire new perspectives on mental health and self-awareness. She uses acrylic paint and recycled materials to craft mixed-media sculptures and paintings. Her artwork has been featured at several venues and events in Charlotte, including the Mint Museum, Charlotte SHOUT, Charlotte International Art Festival, among others. She actively participates in group exhibits and public art projects in the Charlotte Metro area.
