Emily Little was raised in a small town in New Hampshire where she grew up deeply connected to nature, the woods being her playground. She has drawn throughout her entire life, always aspiring to be as great an illustrator as her grandfather. At the age of 14 she was transplanted to the island of Oahu, Hawai’i where she spent her high school years with much more diverse cultural influences. She attended college in New Hampshire, but moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2019 seeking better opportunities and more diversity. Upon exploring the consciousness expressed on canvas, Emily Little began working as a professional artist in Charlotte in 2020 after being laid off from her job. Her artistic expression has gone through many phases over the years, resulting in a highly personal approach and perspective. Her view of herself and the world is in a constant state of evolution and shifting perspectives, and she is most at center when expressing this on canvas with paint and brush.
