Interactive Art Installation: “Welcome Voices”

Tara Spil is a painter and sculptor based in Charlotte, North Carolina. After receiving her Bachelors in Fine Art from Western Carolina University, she developed a career in nonprofit and a passion for community. Through bold colors, brushstrokes, and public works, she studies light, space in time, and community. Her public art is about connecting with a viewer and giving them an opportunity to be a part of the work.

She has shown in a variety of venues including the Levine Museum of the New South, Charlotte SHOUT, Charlotte International Arts Festival, Blumenthal Performing Arts, McColl Center, Catalyst Gallery, Wilkes Art Gallery, VAPA Center, Cain Center for the Arts, and more. Tara’s work has been supported by the Arts and Science Council, the North Carolina Arts Council and the Blumenthal Endowment.
