Charlotte’s premier jazz event returns with an extraordinary lineup of rising stars and seasoned masters redefining the sound of jazz. This year’s festival features boundary-pushing artists like Braxton Bateman and Phillip Howe, dynamic ensembles including Blackhawk Quintet and Pocket Scotch Band, and a special collaboration featuring Satyr Black and The Lovell Bradford Trio, blending generations of jazz excellence. Closing the night, internationally acclaimed pianist, composer, and bandleader Luther Allison—a Charlotte native turned New York City jazz force—returns home for an unforgettable headlining set. His work with artists like Samara Joy, Rodney Whitaker, and Jazzmeia Horn has cemented his place in the modern jazz landscape.
