Art has always been my passion, serving as both a creative outlet and a form of therapy. Growing up in Greensboro, NC, I explored different ways to express myself, starting with theater when I was younger. But it was through abstract painting that I truly found how powerful art can be in capturing and conveying deep emotions.
My work is inspired by the chaotic yet beautiful style of Jackson Pollock and the haunting poetry of Edgar Allan Poe. I use vibrant colors, pastels, and neon tones to bring my feelings to life on canvas, using techniques like motion, circles, spirals, dripping paint, and splatters. I work with materials like acrylics, spray paint, tape, and recycled items, often on multi-surface canvases to add more depth and texture.
I pull inspiration from music, poetry, personal experiences, and even history, infusing each piece with layers of meaning. While I don’t claim to have all the answers to life’s questions, I do believe that artists have a unique way of turning their inner truths into something that others can connect with, whether through realistic or abstract forms.
Through my art, I aim to give viewers a glimpse into the wide range of human emotions, inviting them to reflect and connect with the shared language of visual expression.
