Pocket Scotch, lead by trombonist Max Gill and pianist Javier Pizarro, is a jazz quartet based in the Charlotte area.  The other members consist of, bassist Burns, and drummer Sammy David, all of whom play in and around Charlotte in many other bands.  The band formed in late October of 2024 and plays a variety of music including straight ahead jazz and pocket jazz.
